Javier Troyano received his BSc degree in Chemistry at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2010. Then, he completed his MSc in Molecular Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (2012) and his PhD in Material Science (2015) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, under the supervision of Prof. Félix Zamora and Prof. Salomé Delgado. Then he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Daniel Maspoch’s group at Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) in Barcelona (Spain). In 2019, he joined Prof. Shuhei Furukawa’s group in iCeMS at Kyoto University (Japan) as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow. In 2022, he was awarded a María Zambrano grant from the Spanish Government and rejoined the Prof. Félix Zamora´s group. His research mainly focuses on coordination and supramolecular chemistry at the macro and nanoscale for the design of novel functional materials.
